The lamp lighting ceremony held as attribute to Florence Nightingale is an auspicious occasion in every nurse’s life. The budding nurses, adorned in their uniforms for the first time, formally marks the Students entry into the nursing profession. The lamp lighting and Oath taking ceremony of the 2024-2025 batch of B.sc Nursing Students of J.J. College of Nursing held on 29.11.2024 at the Auditorium. Invocation has been done by Dr.D.Sripriya Principal, J.J College of Nursing welcomed the gathering. The dignitaries on the dias lighted the lamp and inaugurated the ceremony. The novice nurses were received the light from the Principal and faculties and the Oath administered by Dr.D.Sripriya Principal. Words of blessing was delivered by R.Chenthur Selvan Vice Chairman, Sowdambikaa Group of Institution. Dr.K.Madhu.MDS delivered the chief guest address. He said that these budding nurses are a great asset to the needy patients and also to enhance the updates through association with the professional/bodies. Felicitation of guest was done by our Vice Chairman R.Chenthur Selvan. Vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs.I.Priya Elizabeth Asst. Professor. The Programme was concluded with National Anthem.
