The National Librarian’s Day Celebration was organized successfully at our institution on 12.08.2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, faculty members, and staff.

The programme commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Mrs. N. Manimegalai, Librarian. Various entertaining and informative competitions, including Essay Writing, Quiz, Speech, Poster Making, Book Review, Poetry Writing, Bookmark Creativity, and Book Cover Design, were conducted. These activities created excitement and encouraged active participation among the students.

The highlight of the programme was the presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr.N.Rajkumar, Library Information Assistant, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. He delivered an insightful and inspiring talk on “Empowering Nursing through Open Access E-Resources & Digital Tools.” He emphasized the importance of utilizing open access e-resources and digital tools to enhance nursing education, knowledge, research, and professional development. His valuable guidance and sharing of professional experiences motivated and inspired the students and faculty members.

Following the Chief Guest’s address, certificates were distributed to the winners of the various competitions conducted as part of the celebration. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Jeevetha R., Tutor.
