National Librarians’ Day Celebration

Introduction:

National Librarians’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect to honour the birth anniversary of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, the father of Library Science in India. The event aimed to highlight the vital role that librarians play in the academic and intellectual development of students and institutions.

Event Highlights:

As part of the celebration, two competitions were conducted to encourage student participation and creativity. These competitions witnessed active involvement from students.

1. Book Hunt, 2. Book Review

Following the competitions, an award and prize distribution ceremony was held to recognize and appreciate the winners for their outstanding performances.

Chief Guest:

Dr. D. Sripariya, the Principal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In her address, she emphasized the importance of libraries in shaping the future of students and applauded the efforts of the organizing team for conducting the event successfully.

Conclusion:

The celebration concluded on a high note with words of appreciation for all participants and a reaffirmation of the crucial role libraries and librarians play in the educational ecosystem. The event was a resounding success and received positive feedback from all attendees.
